NCCU offers a concentration in Global Studies. The concentration consists of 12-15 hours of coursework, which is to be determined in consultation with the Global Studies advisor. Current tracks include African Diaspora Studies, Afro-Latin American Studies, Asia and Middle Eastern Studies, Environmental and Geospatial Studies, Foreign Languages, Gender Studies, Global Arts, Global Health Education, and International Studies/Peace and Conflict. These may be cross-listed for tailoring to a student's individual needs.

If you are interested in pursuing a concentration in Global Studies, please visit the office of the Dean of the College of Liberal Arts. Students must have completed two semesters of undergraduate studies and maintained a minimum of 2.2 GPA. Students who wish to be a part of this program complete an application and, if admitted, are assigned an advisor by the Director of Global Studies (Dr. Candace Bailey, cbailey@nccu.edu or 919-530-7218). The Global Studies advisor and the student determine the exact course of study.

studying abroad

I'm recommending you an opportunity to have internship abroad that can
develop you professionally and personally. It's not a scholarship but you
just have to pay around Rp 2.7 million for preparing the internship with the
opportunities spread all around the world. Eventhough you need to pay your
own ticket, you will get accommodation if you choose to have internship in
some countries that can provide you accommodation.

You don't have to worry about GPA, they don't bother it.
You don't have to worry about working experience, they don't put it into
consideration.
Use this opportunity to enrich your CV!!

Try to find this out more and tell your friends!!!!

Beasiswa di Kingston University

Kingston University
PhD studentship
Faculty of Art, Design & Architecture

The Faculty of Art, Design & Architecture invites applications from outstanding postgraduate students for an AHRC Collaborative Doctoral Award starting in March 2009. The award is for a three-year full-time studentship, and is equivalent in value to a standard AHRC Doctoral Award.

Partner organisation: The Geffrye Museum

Project: Approaches to documenting the homes of the London middle classes in the 21st Century

The aim of this project is to examine domestic interiors from the standpoint of the householder/occupants, exploring the meanings and values placed on domestic spaces. The research will seek to understand the social, cultural and aesthetic contexts, which influence choice and taste

It is anticipated that the project would suit well-qualified postgraduates from the arts, humanities or social sciences, who are looking to research the visual and material contexts of contemporary family life, domesticity and home-making. The project sits across the fields addressed by the Design Research Centre and the Modern Interiors Research Centre in the Faculty, and the Geffrye Museum. It will involve developing research methodologies for this subject area and gathering material such as recorded interviews of householders and images of their homes, which will form part of the Geffrye Museum's archive collections.

Applications deadline Wednesday 14 January 2009. Interviews will be held in February.
